I received a call from Kristi back in August enquiring about booking the band for her husband’s 50th birthday bash in September.
We arrived at a lovely large house in Scholes near Thorpe Hesley at around 6pm. I introduced myself to Kristi and surveyed our stage for this evenings performance. We were outside for this one and the garden emerged steeply from the walled path a that ran around the house. The path then expanded into a wider seating area. A second path meandered up the garden and led to a second semi-circular patio where we were to perform. The steepness of the incline meant that our stage was a the same level as the second floor of the house.
Were supplied with tea and set about unloading and setting up our gear. There were a few spots of rain that gave me cause for concern and we commandeered Kristi’s gazebo (#rejectedbandname) so that we’d have a contingency should the heavens open. We got lucky and the rain stayed away. We kicked off the first set at 8pm and were rewarded with beer and pizza at half time. We launched the second set just after 9pm and wound up at about 10pm with Seven Nation Army. The kids loved this one and there was some serious headbanging going on.
Mark and the band played at my birthday. Despite it being a bit on the chilly side, they did 2 full sets outdoors, braving the Great British weather. The organisation was flawless and the band were amazing. All our guests had a great time singing and dancing to some fab tunes played incredibly well. We would definitely recommend and book again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
