We’d not played Walkley Community Centre before. An interesting stage setup awaited us which took a bit of negotiating. Before we could unload our gear we had to move all the chairs and tables off the stage and shift a tiered platform so that Andy could squeeze his drum kit into the corner.
We loitered in the carpark during the break as a man with a decibel patrolled the perimeter. Our host bought us all a drink and we had a tray of delicious sandwiches “forced” on us, which is always appreciated. We rounded off the second set with Sit Down by James which was a special request from the birthday boy.
Lots of dancing. Lots of sitting? Lots of fun.

Highly recommend Toast! Booked them for my husband’s 50th and they were incredible. Mark was brilliant to deal with during planning, and the whole band was friendly and fun. They played amazing music, kept the dance floor packed all night, and made the party extra special. 100% recommend and will definitely book again!

Absolutely brilliant band! They played at my friend’s 50th – all the classics, indie music. Professional, kept the energy throughout a long set and sounded great. Too busy dancing and singing to take photos but I would definitely recommend Toast!
