A Wedding at Kelham Island Museum

We were invited to play at Sam and Danielle’s wedding at Kelham Island Museum.

We had the talented James with us again for this event and he and I were there to set up early on the Saturday morning and be out of the way when the guests arrived. Unfortunately the event space was on the first floor, which meant shuttling all the gear into a lift and across a bridge. At least there was a lift.

Kelham Island Museum is cavernous with high ceilings and concrete floors. Acoustically I did think it might be a challenge to get right, but when we sound checked the drums I was pleasantly surprised.

Although setting up the PA before an event is a bit of a pain it is nice to rock up to a gig with just one’s instrument in hand and know that you from the past has taken care of the everything.

There were no requests for this wedding so we just stuck to our finely honed, winning formula that gets people up and keeps them dancing.
