We were booked to play a garden party to celebrate several events that our host had been unable to mark given the circumstances of the last couple of years. We were fed and watered well and had a great time playing to an enthusiastic crowd. I’ll hand over to Anna who left us this review on Facebook:
After the last couple of years with covid! Our family had missed out on celebrating 21st/30ths/ 50ths/ retirements/celebrating achievements, other birthdays, moving house and a 50th wedding Anniversary. We felt it was a time to celebrate with family and friends.
Toast were booked and from the start of the booking to the actual night I felt extremely reassured that everything would and did go well.We chose to have this shindig at home, Andy and his wife visited to look at the proposed spot to make sure it would be ok on the day. We had put a gazebo up over where the band would be playing, just in case – English weather and all that!!They arrived whilst the party was in flow as we wanted it to be an afternoon start, they set up with out any intrusion to the guests. Ready to play later in the night.We had two 45 minute sets, I went with their song choices, after all they are far more used to this kind of thing than me.Both sets were fantastic, by the time they played their second set – guests had settled in, had drinks and were more relaxed ready to dance and join in.Great celebration, I would definitely book Toast again, I’ve had so many people thank us for a good night and comment on the band since the party. The band were all very friendly.
